  • Restaurants

    Byron has a friendly village atmosphere, with over 100 different eateries to suit every taste and budget. Drop into one of the many cafes for a sumptuous breakfast; a fresh juice or your favourite coffee; lunch or dine by the sea and enjoy the scenery as you soak it all up!

    A few local haunts that we highly recommend are;

    'Byron Beach Cafe'- a Byron "breakfast" institution with stunning views of Clarkes Beach - this place is a 'must'. Located at the entrance to Clarkes Beach Caravan Park it's on Lawson Street, positioned right on the beach.  Phone: 02 6685 8400

    'Fishheads' Restaurant & Takeaway - offering the freshest seafood right by the Main Beach.

    'Dish' - European decor with award-winning cuisine.

    'The Balcony' Bar & Restaurant - located in one of the town's last remaining historic buildings, which greets you as you enter Byron... a relaxing spot to lounge about.

    'The Beach Hotel' - a great Australian pub atmosphere overlooking the beach.

    Just ask a friendly passer by to direct you to any of these spots or take the time to find your own favourites and ENJOY!

    On another note if you feel like a lovely treat outside of Byron in the gorgeous hinterland, you can't go past 'Harvest Cafe' in delightful Newrybar.  We love this place...it's award winning and locally renowned, with a blend of country charm and more than a dash of contemporary style, you won't be disappointed.  The food, atmosphere and service is fabulous!  Frequented by Olivia Newton-John, who's property (Gaia Retreat & Spa) is just a few minutes inland...you can be sure that it's the place to be.  Plus it's on the way to Lyndoch, even better.
